Recovery Message

Show Recovery Message on These Booking Pages
Choose to show the pop-up recovery window at three different stages of the booking process:
·      Results page
·      Services page
·      Reservation Summary page
(All three can be selected at the same time in order to show the pop-up message when the booking is abandoned during any of these stages.)

Enable Quotation Request in Recovery Strategy
Allows the guest to send the hotel a quotation request for the dates of their search from the pop-up recovery window. This is an optional feature of the recovery strategy. If this feature is not turned on the window will pop up with the message (in this case, the hotel phone number)
An example of the email received by the property for a quotation request is below:

Text/Images 
Select the language flag and then enter a title and a message for the pop-up window.


Idle Time Popup


Show Idle Time Popup on These Pages
Allows you to choose to show the idle time pop-up recovery window at three different stages of the booking process:
·      Results page
·      Services page
·      Reservation Summary page
(All three can be selected at the same time in order to show the pop-up message when the booking page is left idle for a specified amount of time during any of these stages.)

Idle popup shown after - Select the amount of time the guest can idle on the page before the popup appears from the drop-down menu

Email Template - Create a customized email template for your idle time email.

Automatic Recovery Strategy Mailing
Send an email to customers who have reached the reservation summary page and have filled in the email address field, but did not finalize their booking:


Send Email - Select an option from the drop-down menu
How many minutes after page closure - Set when the email should be sent following the reservation summary page closure from the drop-down menu. Additionally, this email is sent when the customer leaves their browser open but doesn’t finalize the reservation. For example, it will be sent if they stay on the CC data section but don’t insert the CC number or close the page.

Email Template - A customized email template can be created for the recovery strategy email






Recovery Offer:


Discount Code -Choose whether or not to provide the customer with a discount code for their next booking here.
Attention! If a discount code is set, on the customer’s next search (even if he doesn’t receive the recovery strategy email) the discount will be automatically applied.

Offer Validity - Insert the number of days that the emailed offer will be valid.
IP Address to Exclude - Insert IP addresses that should be excluded by clicking the modify button


So, how does it look on the booking engine?

This is an example of a typical flow with the pop-up message. This pop-up message will appear as a customer attempts to close the page throughout the booking process:




The following popup has 2 calls to action:

1.     Hotel Phone Number
2.     “Send quotation request”






If the client chooses to click send quotation request, the following screen will appear:



After their information has been entered and “Send Request” has been clicked, the following message appears:



The hotel will then have the opportunity to work the quotation request received inside of Vertical Booking. (Example of request received by property and client below)




If the client closes out on the Summary Page, the client will view the same as on other pages, but in the background, the recovery email will now be generated as specified in your settings.




Additionally, if the guest closes out after beginning to enter their credit card information, or if they leave the payment details section open without filling in the information, the recovery strategy will also send an email to the guest based on your settings.

Following is an example of the idle time functionality:

If the page is left idle for the specified amount of time, the idle time message will appear:



The customer will insert their Name, Last name, and email address, and the Idle Time email will be sent
