Front end (language setup): Click the flag of the country of the language you wish to activate. It is recommended that the same languages that are on a property’s website be activated in Vertical Booking.
Front end (language enabled): After language setup flags are enabled, select the country flags to make them operational for the booking forms.
Backoffice default language: Default language of the Vertical Booking back office.
Location: Select the location of the property to automatically assign the time based on the time zone.
Weekend setup: Define the days that identify the weekend.
Week setting: Define how to display the week on the booking search calendar.
Currency: Select property currency from the drop-down menu.
Card type: Select accepted credit cards.
Attention! When flags appear with a radio button, it is possible to enter text in the language associated with the flag's country. This text is shown to the consumers booking online.
*Please note that if you will be using the Advanced Email Templates, text fields relating to emails do not need to be completed in this section. Instead, this will be managed in the Advanced Email Templates area of Vertical Booking. Please discuss enabling this feature with the implementation and/or customer service teams.
Enable HTML email: Enables emails that comply with HTML language standards.
Style: Style attributed to the emails will be assigned by the Vertical Booking web team during Booking Engine creation and can be applied to emails here.
Always send text emails to the property: This selection allows the hotel to receive a standard email and not the custom template that is sent to the customer.
Use the email template sender as the reply to (email to the customers): The hotel can use a personalized email in the email template as the sender. Otherwise, the sender will be the address that is set in the property data section
Include day by day details of prices in the confirmation email: Daily details of the pricing will be included in the booking confirmations.
Header part of confirmation email: *Can be used if advanced email templates are not enabled - Insert a short introductory text as an appendix to the standard email template reservation confirmation email.
Lower part confirmation email: *Can be used if advanced email templates are not enabled - Enter a short farewell and thank you text to the standard email template reservation confirmation email.
Pre-stay email text: *Can be used if advanced email templates are not enabled - Schedule pre-stay emails to be sent “x” days before the arrival and/or “x” days after the reservation is made. Enter the text that will be included in the email to the consumer. The property email address is always copied when the email is sent. The pre-stay email text can be a reminder that reminds the customer of his reservation with some useful information for his stay or to reach the structure.
Post-stay email text: *Can be used if advanced email templates are not enabled - post-stay emails can be sent after a guest’s departure and typically include a thank you and an invitation to come back.
Cancellation email text: *Can be used if advanced email templates are not enabled - Enter text to display in the standard email template in case of reservation cancellation
Range of children’s ages: A property can create up to 3 age groups for children. If only one or two groups are required, cancel the extra age groups by replacing the default values with zero. If the property has more than three age groups, it is possible to create a "family discount" in the Discounts section of Vertical Booking to accommodate this.
Max age cot: Set the maximum age of a child allowed to sleep in a crib.
Max age for extra bed: Set the maximum age for additional beds placed in the rooms. “No age limit" can be set if any age range can utilize a rollaway bed.
Allow children: Select to display the child parameters in the booking form.
Children pay the same as adults if they occupy adult beds: Charge children always as adults
Enable room classification: Create room categories and display them as a filter in the booking form.
Enable use of meal plans: Create meal plan categories and display them as a filter in the booking form
Number format (excel-like): Determine how to set the display of numbers with decimals and thousands.
*Properties utilizing “Additional Taxes” should fill fields in this section as in the below image and instead load taxes in Setup > Property > Taxes
Tax for products: Percentage-based tax
Tax for products: Name of Tax
Default Tax Serv/Treat.: Default tax for services and/or treatments.
Separate VAT from total in the summary: Show Tax separate from room rate in the booking summary.
Enabled by the customer service team for groups of hotels. Allows a property to show the availability of other properties in their group if there are no rooms available during the booking search. Insert text to be displayed on the booking engine if the selected property has no availability and cross-selling will occur.
